The MDMC Quantum Science and Education Research Hub (MDMC-QSERH) is committed not only to advancing research in quantum science but also to translating knowledge into impactful educational initiatives. Through a variety of outreach programs, training activities, and public engagement efforts, the Hub seeks to inspire students, educators, and communities to explore and engage with quantum science and STEM learning.
Key Initiatives
Quantum Immersion Program – An intensive, hands-on program introducing students to quantum concepts, experiments, and applications. Conducted in collaboration with the Philippine Science High School – Western Visayas Campus, the program engages interns through workshops, simulations, and research activities.
Teacher Training & Capacity Building – Workshops and mentorship sessions designed to equip educators with the skills and resources to implement evidence-based teaching strategies, including quantum science integration and Game-Based Learning (GBL) approaches.
Educational Resources Development – Creation of interactive teaching materials, simulations, and educational board games aligned with curricula to make complex STEM concepts accessible and engaging for students.
Community Engagement & Outreach – Initiatives aimed at increasing awareness and interest in STEM and quantum science through seminars, webinars, and collaborative projects with schools and other educational institutions.
Impact
Through these efforts, MDMC-QSERH seeks to broaden participation in quantum science education, develop a quantum-literate workforce, and foster a culture of curiosity and innovation. By connecting research with practice, the Hub ensures that learning experiences are both rigorous and engaging, inspiring the next generation of STEM leaders and innovators.
